No bids were received for Sale 178, Part 2

The Outer Continental Shelf Sale 178, Part 2 will be held in New Orleans on August 22, 2001.  The blocks available in this sale were unavailable in Sale 178, Part 1 due to a dispute over a boundary with Mexico.  The dispute has been resolved and these blocks will be leased in conjunction with Sale 180.

Sale 178, Part 2 will cover those blocks in the Central Gulf of Mexico that are beyond the United States Exclusive Economic Zone. All the blocks in this sale are in the Amery Terrace Area. Partial blocks will be for lease for those blocks that are in the 1.4 nautical mile buffer zone north of the continental shelf boundary between the United States and Mexico.
